Dr. Turk's research focus is the pathologic evaluation of spontaneous and experimental cardiopulmonary disease in domestic animals. Current NIH-funded studies include the effects of exercise on diet-induced atherosclerosis in swine and the effects of exercise
on skeletal muscle vascular supply in rats. Dr. Turk provides histopathologic and immunohistochemical support for myriad studies of cardiovascular, respiratory, and neoplastic diseases.
